It's a time of magic in Novi Sad

If there's one city, which is exciting for a visit at any time of the year, but especially during winter, it's Novi Sad. No, we're not biased, even though we have a lot of reasons to be. In December, Novi Sad turns to a winter fairytale, and that's why it's a must-see place. Take your family or friends and go on a winter adventure!

Novi Sad's Winter Fest

(December, Trg Slobode)
Winter Fest is taking place in the city's main square. It's a festival that magically turns an ordinary square into a square with wooden cottages that offer sausages, pretzels, mulled wine, candy, and other tasty treats. You can also buy souvenirs, Xmas decorations, even Xmas trees with root balls. If you're romantic, treat yourself with a drive in a New Year's carriage. You can enjoy live music, starting from 6 PM every night, when children from Novi Sad's elementary schools sing Christmas and New Year's songs on a stage named "Singing Christmas Tree." From 7 PM till 8 PM, every weekend, you can hear performances of Novi Sad's musicians and well-known DJs "spin the records" from 8 PM till 10 PM.

The youngest visitors can have a lot of fun on hay playground and carousel. And if you like to take photos, you'll enjoy the best selfie spots: "Old Timer Photo-Boot", "Winter Fest Gate" and "Angel Wings" and the change of perspective - "Christmas Observation Post" lets you take photos from the bird's eye view.

Ice skating in Icy Forest

Ice skating in Icy Forest

(December 6th – January 20th)
Every year, Icy Forest sprouts out in Dunavski Park. It's the biggest temporary skating rink in the country during the New Year's and Christmas holidays. It consists of a central covered skating rink, skating track around the lake in the park, and it's open every day, seven days a week, from 9 AM to 10.30 PM. Shifts last for an hour and a half, and there's a free school of skating for the youngest visitors. If you don't have ice skates, don't worry, you can rent them. If you get hungry, again, don't worry, there are booths with winter delicacies and gifts and even a restaurant. On weekends and holidays, Icy Forest is the best place to skate and party. Check it out and find why.
